I hope not. Like so many oppressive, anachronistic indoctrination organisations it has no place in modern society. Originally, Christ sought the establishment of a place of succour, charity and love. to do this he adopted a divine persona in order to present his (very valid and worthy) case to the simple people of that time. However, from then on, it mushroomed into a secretive, protective, elitist gang. Hugely rich and hugely protective it has defended itself from paedophile priests by simply covering up, papering over the sick crimes of these vermin.

    Reminiscent of any other organisations?
    Ah yes.
A big drug cartel. Hugely rich, secretive, etc etc.

And now the chickens have come home to roost.

To all those people who believe this, I know that your faith will not allow you to even read my comments with objectivity, so if you read nothing else, read the following extract of one of my favourite poems.

So your faith still tells you to try and save me?
And you can’t understand why I can’t see?
Why I can’t or won’t join your merry band
Let me explain in words you will understand

Every baby who dies, every mother who weeps
Every father who searches, every suicide who leaps
Every gun-carrying child, every hate filled word
Every landmine injury, every unsheathed sword

Every man, woman and child who dies from malnutrition
Every government that sells aid to buy ammunition
Every drunk driver, every mourning son
Every crying daughter, every loaded gun

Every hole we find in the ozone layer
    Every illegal pesticide sprayer
Every earthquake that crushes, every volcano that burns
Every hurricane that smashes, every tornado that turns

Every factory that still employs child labour
Every man who steals from his neighbour
Every avalanche that destroys, every surging flood
Every fire that razes, every town buried by mud

    Every pensioner alone with hypothermia
    Every fevered child with malaria
Every dead coral reef, every polluted sea
Every acid rain cloud, every poisoned tree

Every baby born with aids or heroin addiction
Every person in prison from corrupt conviction
Every coffin borne, every spiteful act
Every hostage taken, every broken pact

Every child beaten for making a noise
Every sick abuser of girls and boys
Every innocent betrayal, every youngster beguiled
Every shaken baby, every tortured child

Every grenade-throwing fanatic who kills for belief
Every happy home despoiled by the thief
Every fear, every tear, every raised fist
Every cry, every sigh, every slashed wrist

Every lie to perpetuate the status quo
Every forgotten relative waiting for a hello
Every knife, every strife, every wasted life
Every fight, every flight, every unkind slight

When any one of these things occurs
No angel protests, no cherub stirs
No messiah descends cloaked in light
No prophet returns to defend the right
No guru arrives to help the poor
No saint appears to stop the war
No answered prayers, all in vain.
No comfort for those alone in pain
No helping hand from a god on high
No explanation, apology or reason why
