welcome to now Playing, where each week we select five trailers that have been added to the file library in the past week, and then talk about them in what seems to be a stream of consciousness pattern in the hope that we’ll have an epiphany, or something.
This week, we take a look at a trailer detailing new downloadable content for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, a reasonably shiny and nice looking trailer for Final Fantasy XIII, Star Trek Online, some dismemberment in Aliens vs. Predator, and finally, some sublime landscapes in Divinity II: Ego Draconis.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is getting some new shiny things for people to play with in the form of downloadable content, as the following trailer seems to suggest. the trailer itself, however, somehow manages to leave me disoriented and confused as to what the new content actually brings to the game other than the vague “new, game changing multiplayer modes”. the trailer seems a little disjointed, with flashes of one scene of misery and destruction to another far too quick. in any case, if you haven’t sold the game or snapped the disc in frustration yet, you may want to check out the new DLC.Download Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising – Overwatch DLC Trailer
Final fantasy XIII
Since Final Fantasy XIII is due to hit shelves in March, it means that my dollars need to start being saved now, so that I can afford the game. the newest trailer for the game seems to suggest that it is one for those who are strictly fans of the series, and I personally don’t really want to wait two more months for the game. I want it now. it is, after all, the reason I did get a PlayStation 3.Final Fantasy XIII: International Trailer
Star Trek Online
Ever wondered what it would be like to face a Klingon horde? while I personally haven’t – the creators of Star Trek online apparently have, and the new trailer below seems to suggest that it will be an option in Star Trek online. while I may be completely wrong, I will proudly proclaim that I cannot be held accountable, as I know absolutely nothing at all about the Star Trek universe. At all.Download Star Trek Online: Klingon Video
Aliens vs. Predator
I still can’t get over the fact that the effective ban on Aliens vs. Predator was revoked after a successful appeal, especially when it has been rated 18+ in most parts of the world. in any case, the latest trailer for the game shows off some of the violence that we should expect to corrupt us all completely when the game releases. I still don’t get how exactly the appeal for this game was successful, given that the violence contained within it, as suggested by this trailer is probably not suitable for a 15 year old at all.Download Aliens vs. Predator: kill Moves Trailer
Divinity 2: Ego Draconis
I am still yet to install Divinity II: Ego Draconis, but I guess that I should probably get around to doing it at some point, given how much I prattle on about it in what seems to be each and every week’s now Playing. the trailer featured in this week’s instalment focuses on the scenery of Rivellon, and quite a bit of it looks to be breath taking and wonderful, even the dark chasms.
