Taylor Swift’s Label Comes To her Defense

Taylor Swift has come under heavy criticism for her Grammy Award night performance alongside Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks.

Many people took to the web to say that they did not think Taylor did a good job performing and some even said that she “ruined” the song “Rhiannon,” which she and Stevie sang together.

Scott Borchetta, the head of the Big Machine record label has come to Taylor’s defense and spoke out about the criticism stating that Taylor’s critics “are not getting it” and that “The facts say she is the undisputed best communicator that we’ve got. when she says something, when she sings something, when she feels something, it affects more people than anybody else.”

He continued, “Maybe she’s not the best technical singer, but she’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it. If you pick any of those artists that performed [at the Grammys] I’m sure you can go online and find something where you go, ‘ew.’ Maybe in that moment we didn’t have the best night. but in the same breath, maybe we did. and nobody is arguing with the awards.”

Scott also told The Associated Press that Taylor was having a technical problem during the performance and that she was unable to hear the complete mix of the song as she was performing.
